The semi final was the last game for United in this season and was played at Renfrew Sports Centre. United took the lead in the 15th minute when Jamie Coll was brought down by the St Mirren keeper. The referee took no action against the keeper other than to award United the penalty kick which Jamie Coll scored. United keeper Mark Lafferty played well in the match saving all that St Mirren could throw at him

In the second half in the 20th minute St Mirren drew level when a ball was played across the box and they finished from the back post. In the 20th minute St Mirren took the lead when again a ball was played into the box and the United keeper punched away, a St Mirren player at the edge of the box played the ball back in and it went into the net.

United did maintain pressure and this time good saves from the St Mirren keeper kept them in the lead  to finish 2-1
