players win Caps playing for Scotland
Four players have been awarded Caps by
representing their Country in International matches. Andy McEwan won a Cap playing against Northern Ireland and scored
the opening goal and set up the next goal in an exciting game
that ended up 2-2
Jamie
Coll, Grant Hunter and Ross Cochrane all represented the Club
in the Under 19 International game against Wales. Jamie Coll
scored in this match which Scotland won 6-1
This was another great achievement for the Club
Sportrenfrewshire Sports Achievement Award 2006

For the second year in a row Paisley United
were recognised by Sportrenfrewshire. Chairman Ian Lynchahon
(centre) presented an award to Paisley United Captain Chris
Agnew in recognition of the Club's achievement in being the
first Scottish Club to complete the double at the Schwan's
USA Cup when the Club won both the Weekend Cup and the
Trophy Flight main USA Cup in 2005

Year Paisley
United were recognised for the work that they do in Sports
development when Steven Fitzpatrick won
a nomination for Football's - Sports Personality of the Year
from Sportsrenfrewshire.
Steven was presented with his awarded at a start studded Gala
Dinner and is pictured here with (L-R) Jim Smith, Cnlr Jean
Goldie, Deputy Convener of Renfreshwshire Council and Ian
Taylor, Chief Executive of Sportscotland, all of whom wished
Steven and the Club best wishes for the remainder of the
season.
Steven was nominated for the award as a result of representing
the Club, Paisley and Country as a direct result of his
participation in the SYFA Regional and National Squads and the
fact that Paisley United had flown the Flag by playing in the
USA Cup for the past 3 seasons. |
